Scholarship for Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching with OUM

Scholarship Details

• Scholarship to in-service teachers in Independent Chinese Schools (ICS) for a one-year Post Graduate Diploma in Teaching (PGDT) with Open University Malaysia

• The course is conducted in Bahasa and English

• Teachers completing this course will receive a PGDT certificate, which is recognised by Malaysia Qualification Agency (MQA)

• Scholarship amount up to a maximum of RM5,000 per academic year per student

Application Criteria

• Applicant must be a Malaysian Citizen

• Applicant must have a recommendation from principal of respective ICS

• Preference will be given to teachers who have served 1 year and above in ICS

• Applicant must be accepted for the Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching (PGDT) Programme with OUM prior to the scholarship application

• Applicant from members of the immediate family of Board of Trustees of YCF, Awards Committee Member and YCF corporate secretaries / treasurers will not be considered

Application Method

• The programme will be organized and announced by United Chinese School Committees’ Association of Malaysia (Dong Zong) Teachers’ Education Department
