YCF 2024 Scholarship for Bachelor of Education in University Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI)
Scholarship Details

Scholarship to students pursuing a 4-year (8 semesters) Bachelor of Education programme (BE) in Chinese Language or Tamil Language at Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI)

Scholarship amount up to a maximum of RM6,000 per academic year per student
Application Criteria
-
Applicant must be Malaysian citizen
-
Applicant pursuing courses in teacher training should not be older than 30 years old
-
Applicant must be pursuing Bachelor of Education in Chinese / Tamil Language at UPSI
-
Applicant must achieve Band 3 and above in Malaysian University English Test (MUET)

Applicant’s family combined monthly income should be less than RM6,250
-
Applicant must be a recipient of the PTPTN loan
-
Applicant who is already receiving other scholarship / bursary excluding the PTPTN loan will not be considered
-
Scholarship will not be considered for more than one member of the same family in the same year unless circumstances exist to warrant an exception

Applicant from members of the immediate family of Board of Trustees of YCF, Awards Committee Member and YCF corporate secretaries / treasurers will not be considered

Successful applicant (i.e. YCF scholar) shall apply to Suruhanjaya Perkhidmatan Pelajaran (SPP) upon graduation and provide proof to YCF. In the event that placement did not take place within 6 months upon graduation, YCF scholar is encouraged to serve in Independent Chinese School (ICS) / SMJK / SJK
